PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor laser module wherein power conducted to a semiconductor light-emitting element does not go into oscillation state. SOLUTION: The semiconductor laser module 1 is provided with a laser diode 101 having a pair of end faces, a thermistor 104 for measuring the temperature of the laser diode 101, a thermoelectric cooler 11 so arranged as to adjust the temperature of the laser diode 101 based on the result of measurement by the thermistor 104, a heat-producing element 103 arranged in a region wherein its temperature is measured by the thermistor 104, and a conduction control unit 20 for controlling power conduction to the laser diode 101 and to the heat-producing element 103.
