PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw socket capable of increasing contact force without hitching a lamp at a tip part of a supporting metal contact piece, yet does not making it hard to screw in, and is capable of preventing a sagging. SOLUTION: The screw socket is composed of a main insulating body 1 having a female screw part 7 fitted to a screw part 6 of a base metal 5 of a lamp 4, a center contact piece 2 making contact with an eyelet 12 of the base metal 5, and a supporting metal contact piece 3 making contact with the screw part 6 of the base metal 5. The supporting metal contact piece 3 has a protruded part 13 protruding toward the center side of the socket, and the lower end part of the screw part 6 of the base metal 5 makes contact with the protruded part 13 when the lamp 4 is screwed so as to restrict the incoming of the lamp 4.
