PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a physical color developing system which can develop colors close to the color tones desired by a user by adding control factors to a color forming means. SOLUTION: The color developing system which performs structural color development by making light incident thereon and reflecting light by the internal structure within the system is provided with the color forming means which is composed of materials carrying out metal insulator transition by temperature and a solvent containing photoionization materials to be ionized by light, and performs color development by admitting incident light from outside, a light source means which monitors the temperature of the solvent, a light source means which controls the intervals of the materials by adjusting the amount of ions of the solvent by irradiation with the light, a temperature monitoring means which monitors the temperature of the solvent, and a solvent temperature control means which controls the reflectivity of the materials by controlling the temperature of the solvent in accordance with the monitored temperature information.
