PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording device which facilitates printing positioning by adjusting printing timing of each head unit. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording device has ink jet heads 231 to 234, and printing timing adjusting sections 231Lt to 234Rt. The ink jet heads are each formed of the plurality of head units arranged in a printing width direction orthogonal to a printing direction and allotted to respective colors inclusive of a specific color. The printing timing adjusting sections each function to adjust the printing timing of the head unit such that a printing location of a nozzle at an end of the head unit of the ink jet head for the specific color, and a printing location of a nozzle at an end of the head unit of the ink jet head adjacent to the specific color ink jet head, fall on the same location in the printing direction.
