<p>The articulator (1) is assembled of a lower element (2) with a rear section and an upper element (3), swivel mounted (4) to the upper end of the rear segment, and accommodates a model of an upper and a lower jaw with artificial teeth (5, 6) between the elements (2, 3). For transport the articulator (1) is protected from an unintentional opening by a securing unit designed as a base (7) to be positioned on top of the upper surface of the lower element (2) and fixed with a clamping screw (8) and a height adjustable vertical pin (10) inserted with its lower end into an opening (11) at the base (7) and guided with its upper end through a bore in the upper element (3).</p> |
