FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM

A fuel supply system in an apparatus having a fuel pump in the middle of a fuel supply piping, the system being capable of discharging vapor to a fuel tank without having a passage other than the fuel supply piping. A fuel tank (10) is positioned higher than an injector (12), a solenoid-type plunger pump (16) and a return less-type regulator (18) are arranged, in that order, in the middle of a fuel supply piping (14) lead from the fuel tank (10) to the injector (12), and a fuel inflow opening (27) of the solenoid-type plunger pump (16) is provided at the highest position of the pump. Using the return less-type regulator (18) eliminates a fuel return passage conventionally required. Further, returning vapor produced at the solenoid-type plunger pump (16) through the fuel supply piping (14) eliminates a vapor discharge passage conventionally required. Since the fuel supply system does not require such a fuel return passage and vapor discharge passage, the system can be used for a two-wheeled motor vehicle where mounting space is limited.
