摘要 PURPOSE: An electro-optical device and an electronic device are provided to perform image display with high quality without the degradation of image quality by particles generated by rubbing an alignment film. CONSTITUTION: Data lines are extended in a uniform direction. Scan lines(3a) are extended in a direction crossed with the data lines. TFTs(Thin Film Transistors) receive scan signals from the scan lines. Pixel electrodes receive image signals from the data lines through the TFTs. An alignment film is formed on the pixel electrode. A substrate has an image display region defined as a forming region of the pixel electrode and the TFT, and has a peripheral region defining the circumference of the image display region. The alignment film is formed in the image display region and the peripheral region. Convex parts(401) are formed on at least a part of the peripheral region.
