PURPOSE: A driving device is provided to simplify the structure of a clutch and prevent an eccentricity of a washing tub by using an outer rotor type motor. CONSTITUTION: A driving device comprises an outer tub arranged in an outer case of a washing machine; a washing tub arranged in the outer tub, and which has a plurality of dehydration holes; a washing blade arranged on the inner bottom surface of the washing tub; a dehydration shaft for rotating the washing tub; a washing shaft coupled to the washing blade; a clutch housing covering the dehydration shaft; a stator assembly coupled to the clutch housing, and which includes a magnetic core, and a coil; a rotor assembly(500) including a rotor frame(510) covering the stator assembly, wherein the rotor frame has an extended portion(K) formed by bending and extending the top wall of the rotor frame, a plurality of magnets(520) attached on the inner surface of the rotor frame, and a washing shaft coupling portion(550) coupled with the washing shaft at the center of the rotor frame so as to transmit the rotating force of the rotor frame to the washing shaft; a clutch assembly including a sliding coupler for controlling transmission of power, and a controller for controlling movement of the sliding coupler; and a brake assembly for braking rotation of the dehydration shaft.
