PURPOSE: A method and a device for printing data using an ID number of a printer are provided to perform the printing by receiving the ID number of the printer as the registration information for a printer port instead of a network address, and receiving the network address through the ID number. CONSTITUTION: A port setting part(110) requests the ID numbers of the printers(230) as the registration information by responding to a setting request of the printer port and stores the received ID numbers. An ID number transmitter(210) transmits the requested ID numbers, A request signal generator(120) generates an address request signal requesting the network address of the printer by responding to a printing request and outputs the generated address request signal. An address transmitter(220) transmits the network address by responding to the address request signal. An address receiver(130) receives the transmitted network address. A data transmitter(140) transmits the printing data to the printer matched with the received network address. The printer prints the received printing data.
