INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM AND LAMINAR STRUCTURE OF INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium which shows the outstanding transferability of a transfer foil such as hologram and superb design visibility without generating emboss cracks.

SOLUTION: This information recording medium 1 has the transfer foil 16 transferred to the surface and a resin forming layer 15 wherein a transparent or translucent inorganic pigment is dispersed on the surface of the medium in contact with the transfer foil 16. The transfer foil 16 may be used as a hologram transfer foil 18. In addition, the inorganic pigment is composed of one kind or a mixture of two or more kinds of pigments selected from among barium sulfate, calcium carbonate, silica and titanium oxide. Favorable use results can be obtained in case the average value of the diameter or the maximum diameter of a pigment particle is 0.1 to 20μm.
