PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire excellent in productivity for restraining stone catching without impairing water drainage performance and reducing damage on a tread part due to a stone once caught. SOLUTION: In the pneumatic tire having a main groove 4 extending in a circumferential direction of the tire on the tread part 1, at least two protrusive parts 6 having a cross section of a circular arc shape and continuing in the circumferential direction of the tire are formed to be arranged in the direction of the depth of the groove on both side wall surfaces of the main groove 4 in a region covering the half of the depth of the main groove 4 from a groove bottom. The protrusive part 6 is further formed on the groove bottom of the main groove 4 when needed.
