PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery which has a high capacity and is superior in charge and discharge cycle, a polymer which is suitable for an active material of this secondary battery, and a monomer which is suitable for manufacturing this polymer. SOLUTION: This is a secondary battery that has at least a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolyte, and at least one of active material of the positive electrode and the negative electrode contains a polymer having a specific structural unit in a molecule.
