PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery which has a high capacity and is superior in stability of charge and discharge cycle and a polymer suitable as an active material of the secondary battery, and a monomer suitable for manufacturing the polymer. SOLUTION: This is a secondary battery that has at least a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolyte, and an active material of at least one of the positive electrode and the negative electrode contains a polymer having a specific structure in a molecule.
