PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate X-ray at a time interval by causing a pulsed laser beam to collide with a plurality of pulsed electron beams. SOLUTION: The X-ray generator comprises an electron beam source for emitting a first pulsed electron beam and a second pulsed electron beam at a certain time interval, a laser light source for emitting a pulsed laser beam to collide with the first pulsed electron beam emitted from the electron beam source at a first position at a first angle, a light path control optical system for controlling a light path of the pulsed laser beam so that the pulsed laser beam after colliding with the first pulsed electron beam collides with the second pulsed electron beam at a second position with a second angle differs from the first angle, and a synchronization means for synchronizing the electron beam source and the laser light source so that the emission of the first and the second pulsed electron beams and the emission of the pulsed laser beam are synchronized.
