PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding device for a workpiece, not requiring much time and labor for centering work without shifting of working for both end faces in processing the end face of the workpiece positioned on one side of a rotating shaft of the workpiece and the end face of the workpiece positioned on the other side thereof. SOLUTION: This holding device includes: a device body; a workpiece support means supporting the workpiece 15 and supported on the device body to freely rotate round a first rotating axis 17; and a first rotating means for rotating the workpiece support means round the first rotating axis 17 to the device body. When the workpiece 15 is supported by the workpiece support means, the workpiece 15 is supported by the workpiece support means so that when the workpiece support means is rotated to work at least a part of the end face of the workpiece 15 positioned on one side of the first rotating axis 17 and at least a part of the end face of the workpiece positioned on the other side of the first rotating axis 17 by a tool.
