PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent mixing of not only large dust but also any fine one into working oil in an air breather installed in an oil tank of a hydraulic unit and to smoothly adjust pressure. SOLUTION: In this air breather, a vent 3 is bored to the oil tank 1 of the hydraulic unit, and air in a clearance part 4 is sucked/exhausted through the vent 3, along with increase/decrease in the amount of oil in the oil tank 1. A bag body 5 that is free to expand/contract is arranged in the clearance part 4 in the oil tank 1, and an opening part 51 of the bag body 5 is closely jointed with the vent 3. Along with the increase/decrease in the oil amount in the oil tank 1, the bag body 5 expands/contracts to suck/exhaust the air inside it through the vent 3. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
