PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder capable of canceling latent image characteristic that a silver salt sensitive material has to ensure stability of color development and having stable and uniform finish quality in color development density of image on the same silver salt material. SOLUTION: First set time when a sensitized paper is not sensitized by light leaking from a light exposure chamber and second set time until latent image characteristic of the sensitized paper is stabilized are set by a touch panel 12. A first timer means is started from the time when the sensitized paper is arranged in the light exposure chamber and a second timer means is started after image information is exposed on the sensitized paper by a conveyance control means 110. The sensitized paper is held by a drum 31 or an accumulator guide 29 until these first and second timer means exceed the first and second set time to prevent the sensitized paper from staying in the light exposure chamber for many hours and being sensitized by leaking light and stabilize the latent image characteristic in order to obtain proof image having stable color development.
