PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stiffened structure for upper side sections capable of increasing the rigidity of the upper side sections, particularly, the hood ridge fixed parts of the upper side sections while reducing the weight of the upper section of a radiator core. SOLUTION: In this stiffened structure for the upper side section of the upper section of the radiator core, at least the upper center part 2a of the radiator core upper section 1 is formed integrally, by using a resin, with the upper side sections 7 and 8 extended from both right and left end parts of the upper center part 2a to the rear of the vehicle to form hood ridge fixed parts 7a and 7b to form metal stiffening members 10 and 11 on the upper side sections 7 and 8. Since the metal stiffening members are formed on the upper side sections of the upper section of the radiator core, the bending rigidity of the upper side sections, particularly, the rigidity of the hood ridge fixed parts of the upper side sections can be increased.
