PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply a hair treatment device that can effectively stretch unruly hair or crimp straight hair by making negative ions created by an ion generator function to hair and whose air inlet is not directly blocked by user's hand when hair is set. SOLUTION: The hair treatment device has the first and second holder arms 2 and 3 that can have hair holder bodies 5 and 6 to hold hair, the ion generator 11 that create ions, and an air outlet 13 out of which created ions blow. The hair treatment device is structured so that the first and second holder arms 2 and 3 provided to face each other can swingably open and close around an oscillating axis 4 by connecting the first and second holder arms 2 and 3 by the oscillating axis 4. The first holder arm 2 is composed of a hollow case body 8 to house a fan 9 and a motor 10 that supply created ions. The air inlet 15 opens its mouth on the face of the case body 8 that faces to the second arm 3 for the fan 9. A projection 23 for receiving hair is provided between the hair holder bodies 5 and 6 and the air inlet 15 to stop hair from moving horizontally from the hair holder bodies 5 and 6 toward the air intake port 15.
