A siphon (1) supplies air (3) into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. Exhaust gases (6,8) are recycled by being led back into the combustion chamber through a tail pipe that is arranged within and concentrically with the siphon. An exhaust mixing unit (2) within and concentric with the siphon has discharge openings (5,7) for introducing exhaust gases into the air flow.
