A method for induction sealing a plastic part (24) to a composite container (12) using a pair of linear coils (30, 32) electrically connected to low frequency generators. The linear coils (30, 32) produce overlapping electromagnetic fields on either side of the container (12). Rotating the container (12) assures even heating of the polyethylene liner and plastic part (24). The method produces a reliable seal between the liner and plastic part (24) and can be used at high production speeds. |
