<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To introduce an air flow of an image forming apparatus which can make the image forming apparatus small-sized and to realize low cost and space saving. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is constituted by providing a fixing roller couple 7 for fixing an image on a sheet P by a heat system and a fan 10 which discharges air nearby the fixing roller couple 7. Provided is at least one air duct 8 having opening parts 9a and 9b in which air flows by convection of heat generated by the fixing roller couple 7 when the fan 10 stops. When the fan 10 is in operation, the air duct 8 functions as an intake means and discharges sucked air to the outside of the apparatus through a discharge port 9c. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
