<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file device capable of validly utilizing a memory, and improving convenience by switching a memory area used by a flash memory card with an unused alternate memory area when the life of the memory area runs out or an error occurs. <P>SOLUTION: This file device is provided with a system interface means 7 for executing interface matching with this system, a memory interface means 9 for executing interface matching between this device and a storage medium, a buffer means 8 for temporarily storing system data supplied from the system, a control means 5 for controlling the change of the memory area, a storage means 6 for storing control data, and a program for control for changing the memory area and a memory area changing means 4 having a flash memory card 10 for storing the system data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
