PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an impact absorbing body having fundamental dynamic physical properties and absorbing an impact without requiring a complicated process. SOLUTION: A combination of two or more kinds of yarns and/or sheetlike materials, which show different impregnation states of a thermoplastic resin with respect to a reinforcing fiber such as a carbon fiber or the like, is heated to the vicinity of the melting temperature of the thermoplastic resin and cooled to be integrated or defibrilated reinforcing fibers and/or a fabric comprising reinforcing fibers is continuously taken over to be passed through the melted or softened thermoplastic resin not only to substantially coat the surfaces of the filaments of the reinforcing fibers with the resin but also to form the yarns and/or the sheetlike materials, which are different in impregnation state in the take-over direction and/or a veretical direction (lateral direction) with respect to the take-over direction to a final product. These yarns and/or the sheetlike materials are heated to the vicinity of the melting temperature of the thermoplastic resin and subsequently cooled to be integrated with each other.
