PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed type secondary battery in which tightening torque of the electrode post is reduced. SOLUTION: This is a sealed type secondary battery that comprises a secondary battery 12 having a gas discharge part and capable of charge and discharge, a case 11 having a housing part 11e which is provided with an insertion port 11d, through which the secondary battery 12 is housed, and a holder 20 that closes the insertion port. A holder side tightening part 20a provided at the holder 20 and a case side tightening part 11c provided at the case 11, and an energized projection 19d that is provided on the face opposed to the housing part 11e of the holder 20 are installed, and by tightening the holder side tightening part 20a and the case side tightening part 11c, the secondary battery 12 is energized and supported by the energized projection 19d to the housing part 11e.
