PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid droplet discharging device and an ink jet print-head adopting the same. SOLUTION: The liquid droplet discharging device is provided with a fluid passage in which a nozzle is formed on one end, a volume changing structure which is provided to the inside of the fluid passage and which makes liquid droplets to be discharged through a nozzle by being expanded in response to the external stimuli, and a stimulation generator to apply the stimuli to the volume changing structure. Here, the volume changing structure is made of a stimulus-responding hydro-gel. By this, it can prevent low energy efficiency problems, in which driving can be executed in the range of the low temperature of about 15-30°C and which occur at the heating system ink jet print-head, and irradiation problems of excessive heat energy or the like from occurring. Also, the structure is simple and miniaturization is possible. Accordingly, the degree of integration of the nozzle can be enhanced. Also, the size of the liquid droplet can be actively controlled by changing a volume changing amount by adjusting compositions of substances constituting a volume expanding structure and the stimulation conditions.
