PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the picture quality of a moving picture by improving the response speed of liquid crystal by generating digital gradation data according to a gradation distribution of a frame. SOLUTION: Included are a data driving part which selects a gradation voltage corresponding to video data out of a plurality of gradation voltages and applies it as a data voltage to a pixel and a signal control part which supplies video data to the data driving part, generates digital gradation data according to the gradation distribution of video data of one frame, and supplies the data to the data driving part.
