<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery portion unit and a lithium secondary battery adopting the same. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium secondary battery comprises: an electrode assembly in which an anode plate, a separator and a cathode plate are disposed in this order; respective electrode leads led from the respective electrode plates, which are connected electrically with the respective electrode plates; a finishing tape consisting of an adhesive layer of low adhesion which wraps the most outer surface of the electrode assembly and which can separate from this when the electrode assembly is deformed and a macromolecule film layer which is coated with the adhesive layer; and a case forming a space where the electrode assembly with the finishing tape is contained, which has a thermally fused sealing surface along an edge of the space. The finishing tape separates from the electrode assembly temporarily when the electrode assembly is deformed during charging and discharging periods as the finishing tape consists of a material having a low adhesion property. Consequently a distortion phenomenon of the electrode assembly does not occur since the deformation of the electrode assembly becomes free. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
