<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a powder of a seed of a loquat by which the seed of the loquat is formed into a utilizable fine powder without damaging the active ingredient in the seed of the loquat. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises an extraction step for taking out the seed by squeezing the flesh of the loquat, a drying step for drying the seed taken out at the extraction step at a temperature not higher than a prescribed temperature, and a pulverizing step for pulverizing the dried seed while keeping the seed at the temperature not higher than a prescribed temperature.
