<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor/generator controller in a motor/generator system exhibiting a high power generation efficiency by reducing loss of a power converter during power generation. <P>SOLUTION: An inverter 3 comprising a main switch and a diode connected in reverse parallel therewith is provided. At the time of motor driving, power control is performed to supply a motor/generator 1 with power by turning the main switch on/off depending on a command voltage.
