<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of increasing the speed of a decoding processing. <P>SOLUTION: A motion compensation processing apparatus comprises a plurality of image memories for storing image data independently of one another; a write control part 25a which writes image data in the plurality of image memories in a mode according to read of predictive data in decoding B pictures, a mode according to read of predictive data in decoding P pictures in dual prime prediction, or a mode according to read of a motion compensation range of predictive data when writing image data in the memory; and a read control part 25b which simultaneously reads out image data from the plurality of image memories when reading a plurality of image data from the memory as predictive data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
