DATA PROCESSOR AND ITS DEVELOPMENT DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processor of greater versatility which can be downsized and requires small man-hours for development.

SOLUTION: The data processor includes a program counter which manages the execution of a program, a nonvolatile memory which stores the program and outputs a program code by the output of the program counter, a data processing part which performs data processing predetermined by the program code outputted from the nonvolatile memory, and a RAM which temporarily holds the result of the data processing. The program counter and the data processing part are constituted of gate arrays. The gate array and the nonvolatile memory are integrated and mounted on a semiconductor chip.
