<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle device for ETC capable of urging a driver to reduce the traveling speed of a vehicle near an ETC gate even when the traveling speed is high. <P>SOLUTION: This on-vehicle device for ETC mounted on the vehicle to perform payment of toll by communication with a road-side device comprises an RF module 3 performing communication with the road-side device, an on-vehicle machine controller 4 for detecting whether or not the communication of the RF module 3 with the road-side device is started, and a traveling speed presentation means 7 for presenting the traveling speed of the vehicle to an occupant of the vehicle when the start of communication of the RF module 3 with the road-side device is detected by the on-vehicle machine controller 4.
