PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem and print contents of data broadcasting beautifully: when data broadcasting is received by a digital broadcasting receiving device and its contents are printed, an image with resolution of approx 100dpi has had to be used because printing data have been produced by downloading the contents on the display screen as they are. SOLUTION: A printing data generating means 301 decodes data for data broadcasting separated by a demultiplexer 202 by a data broadcasting decoder 210, and stores image data for printing processed for printing layout as printing data in a printing data storage means 302. Upon reception of a printing instruction from the CPU 207, the printing data generating means 301 outputs the contents stored in the printing data storage means 302 to a printer. When moving picture information is included for screen display, a still image showing characteristic contents of the moving picture is used in the moving picture in the printing layout. When there is a voice explanation, the explanation is added to the printing layout as character information. In addition, in the still picture, image contents with higher resolution than the image contents for screen display or a plurality of still images are used for the printing layout.
