PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feedthrough capacitor that has a simple structure and little residual inductance, further radiates little heat when incorporated into a high-current circuit, has high withstand voltage, removes a high frequency nozzle, and improves productivity and quality when manufacturing the feedthrough capacitor. SOLUTION: A prismatic or cylindrical ceramic element assembly 12 having a through-hole 11 lengthwise is immersed in an electrically conductive metal paste, and an electrically-conductive film is attached to an exposed surface of the ceramic element assembly, thereby forming a signal electrode A. Then, the signal electrode is notched in the circumferential direction of the ceramic element assembly to form an independent electrode insulated from the signal electrode and use the independent electrode as an earth electrode B. Then, a feedthrough capacitor is made that is composed of the signal electrode A formed in close contact with the inner wall surface of the through-hole, both edge surfaces 14a and 14b of the ceramic element assembly and the outer peripheral surface near both of the edge surfaces, and the earth electrode B formed in close contact with the central part of the outer peripheral surface of the the ceramic element assembly so as to be insulated from the signal electrode.
