SEAL STRUCTURE OF PLUNGER IN HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal structure of a plunger in a high pressure fuel pump for coping with large lift of the plunger 3 in a narrow space by realizing a seal of a sliding part 11 of the plunger 3 with an inexpensive and simple constitution. SOLUTION: This seal structure of the plunger 3 in the high pressure fuel pump has a plunger barrel 2 for forming a pump chamber 7 and the plunger 3 for sucking fuel in the pump chamber 7 by reciprocatingly sliding in the plunger barrel 2 and forcibly sending the fuel as high pressure by paying attention to using a flexible seal material 14 by rubber and the other ring-shaped flexible material, and is characterized by installing the ring-shaped flexible material 14 between a first fixing part 18 arranged in a fixing member (the plunger barrel 2) different from the plunger 3 and a second fixing part 19 arranged in the plunger 3 so as to surround the sliding part 11 of the plunger 3.
