PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for a pile foundation capable of controlling axial force acting on a footing pile without using a special device in the case a structure is constructed. SOLUTION: The pile foundation structure 1 is constructed by a superstructure 2 and a plurality of existing footing piles 3, the superstructure 2 comprises an upper skeleton 2a and a foundation section 2b consisting of a footing and a footing beam, the existing footing pile 3 is a cast-in-place pile and is a supporting pile for the front end section to reach a supporting layer 4. Connection between the existing footing pile 3 and the foundation section 2b of the superstructure 2 is made by an axial force control joint S1 connected after the construction of the superstructure 2 has completed a predetermined working process.
