PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a keeping method of the activity in a blast furnace core part for keeping the stable blast furnace operation for long term without rising fuel ratio as in the conventional case by surely predicting the worsening of ventilation and liquid penetration in the furnace core surface layer part causing lowering of the furnace core temperature at pulverized fine coal operation in the blast furnace and taking treatment according to this state to activate the furnace core part. SOLUTION: In the pulverized fine coal operation in the blast furnace, in the case of continuing the days rising to≥5% average value of K value of ventilation index in the blast furnace at near days to≥7 days, or in the case of continuing the days becoming <90% average value of slag-tapping ratio showing the liquid-penetration index in the blast furnace at near days to≥5 days, or in the case of continuing the days becoming <95% average value of heat flux at the furnace bottom center part or furnace bottom center brick temperature showing a liquid-penetration index near the blast furnace bottom to≥3 days, it is judged that the furnace core part is in inactivating tendency. Then, after lapse of at least these days, SiO<SB>2</SB>base flux or mixed flux of SiO<SB>2</SB>base flux and MgO base flux together with the pulverized fine coal, are blown into the blast furnace from a tuyere to activate this operation.
