POLYMER FILM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film capable of keeping good conductivity even when an oriented film is formed, not requiring formation of a solvent-resistant layer and having high productivity and a conductive substrate and an image display element each using the film and to provide a method for producing the film. SOLUTION: The polymer film comprises a metal oxide and has a coefficient of thermal expansion of the film lower by 10-100 ppm/°C than that of a film not containing the metal oxide. The method for producing the polymer film containing the metal oxide comprises casting or applying a mixture containing a sol-gel reaction solution containing a metal alkoxide and an acid catalyst in a monomer solution or a polymer solution and continuously or stepwise heating the mixture.
