PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve learning effect by marking characters and words on a display screen, modifying characters and sounds of the marked part if learning is to be repeated, and thereby making the marked part easily noticeable by a learner. SOLUTION: The marking apparatus is equipped with a display means having a display screen and a marking means. A mark pointer for indicating an object to be marked on the display screen is displayed on the screen, while marking is performed with the marking means for the displayed object as an object to be marked which is in a prescribed positional relation with the mark pointer.
