摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high cooling performance for a storage chamber, and to hold safety and reliability for a storage facility. SOLUTION: Air in the atmosphere is taken in from an air introducing port 9 of an air suction duct 4 to flow into a heat-exchanger 5 provided in one portion of an air flow passage of the duct 4. The air of which the temperature is reduced by passing through the heat-exchanger 5 flows into a storage chamber 2 from a communication port 8 provided in a floor part of the storage chamber 2. The air flowing into the storage chamber 2 from the communication port 8 cools a storage body 3 to take away one portion of decay heat generated from spent fuel or the like in the storage body 3. The air of a temperature elevated by taking away the one portion of the decay heat is discharged from an exhaust pipe 7 into the atmosphere. Temperature elevation in the storage chamber is moderated thereby to hold the safety and reliability for the storage facility, without exceeding an allowance value of a temperature of a wall part in the storage chamber.
