PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily inspect a defect on a glass bead surface. SOLUTION: This inspection device is provided with an irradiation light source 16 for irradiating a substantially spherical glass bead 3, a line sensor 14 for detecting reflected light or transmission light from the glass bead 3, and a computer system 18 for detecting the defect on the surface of the glass bead 3, based on a photoreception result by the line sensor 14.
