A cooled holder for bottles and glasses and other items has an open topped container (2) with a central handle (4) and with the facility to also hold cooling packs and/or a cooling liquid, e.g. water. The container is made of metal, wood, ceramic or plastic and is fitted with support feet (3). It can have any convenient shape, e.g. triangular, round, rectangular, oval etc. For improved cooling retention the container has a double walled construction. An optional cover, clips for bottles and glasses and a receptacle for waste, e.g. ash tray, can be included.
