PURPOSE: A legacy facsimile service processing apparatus in home network environment, a system therefor and a method therefor are provided to offer a facsimile service to a user irrespective of a power state of a legacy facsimile. CONSTITUTION: A middleware server provides intrinsic IDs to various information devices connected to a home network, collects device information and control information from the respective information devices, and provides device information and control information according to information request. A storing device(236) stores facsimile data. If the facsimile data are received through an external network, a control unit(238) stores the received facsimile data in the storing device(236). If the power of a legacy facsimile is detected as an off-state from information collected in the middleware server, the control unit(238) transmits a control command to a PLC(Power Line Communication) module of the legacy facsimile through the middleware server so that the power of the legacy facsimile is converted into an on-state and transmits the facsimile data stored in the storing device(236) to the legacy facsimile through a telephone line.
