<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device capable of operating by power supply from a battery and an external power source, having a plurality of wireless means, and capable of saving power in wireless communication. <P>SOLUTION: When a power source microcomputer 29 detects insertion/extraction of an AC adapter 30 (YES in step S101), it is decided whether the AC adapter 30 is connected or not (step S105). When the AC adapter 30 is connected (YES in step S105), an 802.11a module 19 is brought into a usable state (step S106), it is decided that an 802.11b module 20 is not used, and power supply is cut off (step S107).
