PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system to load a stent made not to sink into a sheath into a stent delivery system.

SOLUTION: This is a system to load a self-expanding stent into a stent delivery system and includes lubricant coating on one or a plurality of composing elements to substantially reduce friction forces relating to the loading of the stent. The stent may be coated or not coated. The lubricant coating comprises glycerol.
