<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automated guided vehicle system provided with a plurality of areas, a plurality of stations arranged in each area, an automated guided vehicle which carries articles between the stations and a controller which controls the automated guided vehicle and commands the above vehicle to carry the articles, and capable of rapidly carrying an article to be carried urgently. <P>SOLUTION: The controller 8 (or 7) is provided with a comparison program which compares an arrival estimate time when a first guided vehicle 10A existing in the bay 3 of an area, where the station of a request origin exists, arrives in a state that it can transfer the articles to the station of the request origin 41 with an arrival estimate time when the first guided vehicle 10A existing in another bay 3 arrives in a state that it can transfer the articles to the station 41 of the request origin; and a command startup program which operates the movement command for moving the first guided vehicle 10A having an arrival estimate time, which is the earliest among the arrival estimate times thus compared, to the station 41 of the request origin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
