PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the freedom of design and reduce the manufacturing cost of a display for vehicles which is provided with a liquid crystal indication part and an analog indication part. SOLUTION: The illumination light emitted by backlight sources 15, 15, arranged on the back side of a liquid crystal display plate 11 is transmitted through the liquid crystal display plate 11 to illuminate a transmission light display 16a of a dial 16 provided on the front side of the liquid crystal display plate 11. Also, the transmission light display 16a may be illuminated by cutting polarizing plates 13 and 14 duplicating with the transmission light display 16a out of the liquid crystal display plate and by letting the illumination light pass through the liquid crystal display plate 111. Furthermore, for a meter having duplication fringe whose fringe of the liquid crystal display plate 11 duplicates with the transmission light display 16a, the duplicated fringe corresponding part corresponding to the duplication fringe in the liquid crystal maintaining member placed on the fringe of the liquid crystal display plate 11 is cut out.
