摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder head made from an aluminum alloy which has excellent thermal fatigue properties, and is suitable for a high load engine such as a diesel engine, and to provide a production method therefor. SOLUTION: The cylinder head is made from an aluminum alloy containing, by weight, 5.0 to 6.0% Si, 0.5 to 1.5% Cu, 0.4 to 0.6% Mg and 0.1 to 0.2% Ti, and, if required, further 0.08 to 0.12% Sb, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities, and having a structure in which secondary dendrite arm spacing is≤40μm, and porosity is≤0.5 vol.%. The cylinder head is obtained by casting the molten metal of the aluminum alloy having the above composition, subjecting the same to solution treatment so as to be held at 500 to 550°C for 3 to 6 hr, then performing air cooling, and thereafter subjecting the same to aging treatment so as to be held at 150 to 200°C for 2 to 5 hr.
