PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the formation of a sulfuric acid mist in a method for manufacturing sulfuric acid. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing the sulfuric acid including a process in which a sulfuric acid vapor from a gas mixture containing 0.01-10 vol% H<SB>2</SB>SO<SB>4</SB>vapor calculating that SO<SB>3</SB>in gas is completely hydrated to H<SB>2</SB>SO<SB>4</SB>and 0-50 vol% steam is condensed by cooling the gas by a sulfuric acid tower, a NH<SB>3</SB>-containing stream is added upstream of the tower to the gas stream at an inlet of the tower in a corresponding amount to 0.01-100 ppm (vol) NH<SB>3</SB>.
